Art to me is a reflection of the mind. Every piece I create comes from something personal in my life that I can only really express through art. At my lowest points, I focused more on surrealism because it gave me a way to show feelings that I could not explain with words. At my happiest, my art becomes more focused on memories and moments from my life. I like creating pieces that reflect experiences, people, and feelings I want to hold onto. No matter what I create, my art is always connected to my inner self.

Katelynn is a smart, creative, and kind student who brings a genuine love for art into the classroom. She believes in effort and uses her imagination in a personal and meaningful way. The connection built over time has been truly special. Her beautiful letter, which earned her a Superintendent Scholarship, reflects her character and passion for teaching. Her future students will be lucky to have her, and having her in the classroom has been a true joy.
